New Harp for Our School
We are current and former students from the harp classes at the National Music School “Liubomir Pipkov” in Sofia, Bulgaria, supported by our parents, and the “Early Bird” association. We are organizing a fundraising campaign to raise funds for buying a new harp for our school.
From our first touch to this “musical instrument of gods”, we project our ways in music, we study and muster our performance in our school. Our school is our second home, where we play, and rehearse every week day, but also in the weekends in a tight schedule. We are really grateful to our school for this opportunity, we are thankful to our teachers, to our parents for their cares, and we do want to help to those who would come after us.
A harp is an expensive music instrument, and just a few may buy one for themselves. The instruments from the Music School are always with us traveling for individual competitions in Bulgaria, and Europe, for festivals, and charitable initiatives and concerts. Without those
instruments, we can not follow our dreams - participate and win competitions, and give joy to our audiences.
Two of the three harps on which we play (Made in USSR), have witnessed more than four decades of the history of the National Music School (NMS) “Liubomir Pipkov”. They have traveled thousands of miles with us and those students before us all around Bulgaria and Europe, they have been repaired numerous times, and deserve a rest in some museum.
With the funds from the campaign, we are going to buy a modern, high quality music instrument, appropriate for professional music education, and will give it to the NMS “Liubomir Pipkov”. We know that it will not be easy to achieve our goal, but we are confident to do it.
