New hand for Gosia

Gosia, my second cousin, sent me a message a week ago.  The message read: "If you haven't done your tax declaration yet, would you be willing to donate 1% of your tax for my prosthesis?" 

This is how I learnt that she's been battling cancer since 2013, and that it's recently come back after 3 years in remission. She's just taken the toughest decision to have her arm amputated. After she goes through the post-surgical rehabilitation, she will be ready for her new prosthetic arm.

(Why does it say "hand" in the fundraiser's title? Well, in Polish there is one word for both arm and hand, and I misunderstood at first. Gosia's amputation includes her entire arm and shoulder joint).

Polish healthcare is not on the highest level to start with, and Gosia's osteosarcoma has lead to a complex surgery. She will need a prosthesis that costs 100,000 Polish zloty, which is roughly 24,000 euros. Her family and friends already collected almost two-thirds of the amount. 

I am only getting to really know Gosia now, through her illness. She is radiating positivity: happy that chemo is soon over, happy that her prognosis is good, happy that a friend is staying with her at the hospital. I am asking your help, so that she can continue living her life to the fullest, like she has done for 35 years.
