Thank you for visiting this page. Sunshine Meditation Center (Mahamevnawa Meditation Monastery, Florida) is a home for spiritual development of human beings through the teachings of Buddha. This monastery is a place of peaceful refuge for all humanity (both Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike). We practice that through light and love we can achieve great things as a whole. This is a place of healing that has brought so much peace and love to its community.
I am currently raising funds for a gate and a new fence. Recently there was a break in and all the tools were placed in the recycle bin and stolen. This included lawn equipment and power tools. Our Monastery is in need of a little love and help. We all want the place where we practice our faith to be as beautiful as the teachings we gain from them. But we can’t do this without your help.
The Monastery is located in a residential neighborhood. The gate will help differentiate it from the residential homes and add a layer of security in the evenings for our full time Monks who live in the Monastery.
By supporting this Monastery, you will enable the continued teachings of this amazing group of Spiritual teachers whose goal is to eliminate the hurt of the world. Your support means so much to us in ensuring that these teachings live on and continue to bring compassion, joy, and hope to so many.
