Raising the Fence at Iona School

Dear parents and friends of Iona School,
Over the summer holidays we will install a fence around the school perimeter. This is to ensure the continued safety of our pupils and to comply fully with regulations. The fence will start at the side of the gym and will wrap around the school buildings. A new entry system will be fitted to improve access to the main Reception and increase site security. Once the fence has been erected, we are hoping we will be able to introduce other elements to the Kindergarten and main playground such as a basketball net and other games equipment.
How much do we need to raise?
We need to raise £12,000.00 in total. The fencing and installation will cost £8,500.00, the electrics will cost £3,500.00. This is obviously a significant amount of expenditure for the school to find on such a tight budget. We would be very grateful if parents and friends could donate towards this cost, even a few pounds can all add up and would help alleviate our cash flow next year.
Can you help find donors?
- Could your child’s relatives and friends of the family donate to this campaign?
- Parents may wish to hold a mini-fundraiser over the summer holidays such as a summer coffee morning, picnic or a play day at their homes.
- Class 5 parents whose children are leaving at the end of the term may consider donating all or part of their remaining deposit.
How soon do we need the funds?
As soon as possible and no later than the October half term.
