Introduction
We are reaching out to try to raise money to startup a new Entertainment Company for the Four Corners Area. The Cunningham Haunt House has been a FREE haunt house in the Farmington area since 2011. We have been entertaining Adults and Children on Halloween night at my fathers house by designing elaborate displays and haunted mazes. Some of the displays are homemade and some come from other sources like Spirit of Halloween.
Our Haunt House has been in the Farmington Daily Times Newspaper twice and once in the Durango Herald and has become a popular place to visit during Halloween night.

Our goal is to create a all-day, paid, Halloween fair that spans the entire month of October for the community as well as a haunt house maze that will scare the pants off our customers.
Our second goal is to create an independent film studio that will help local filmmakers and the average joe to bring their films and ideas to the screen.
Why the Haunt House?
Farmington, NM has had a lack of Halloween entertainment over the years. For many years, the community has been telling us that we have the best haunt house in the area. So now we have decided to try to make a bigger event by creating a new paid for haunt house and Halloween fair that all of Farmington and the surrounding areas can enjoy. It would also be a safe place for families to take their children to do fun activities such as bobbing for apples, pumpkin carving, drawings, etc.
We would also like to set it up for local businesses to set up booths and sale their products during the fair. All in all it would be a fun place for families to enjoy their Halloween holiday.
For the main attraction we will have the Cunningham Haunt House. This is a dark maze that is designed to scare and entertain patrons.
All of the activities and the haunt house are included in the day long fair. People will be able to purchase tickets all year long for either a single day pass or a month pass. We will also have family passes. in addition to the online ticket sales we will have at the gate ticket sales which is where we believe most of our sales will come from.
Our family is a community based family so we would also like to setup fundraisers during the fair. Things like funds for police and fire departments and of course our favorite is the TOYS For TOTS.
The fair will run everyday starting on October 1st to October 31st for $15/person at the gate. $10/person online ticket sales. $30/person month pass.
Why the Film Making studio
Not only do we want to create this fair but we also would like to bring in a new Film studio where we can help independent film makers or the average joe in the Four Corners area create films from start to finish.
Film is becoming a big business in New Mexico and Farmington has become a hotspot for independent filmmakers.
As independent filmmakers ourselves we would like to be able to make that dream possible for anyone who has a great idea. Our products would include writing screenplays, helping raise funds for films, shooting the films, producing films and more. It would be an a la carte type of production business.
We would also setup events such as screenings and premiers of independent films. The goal is to create an all-in-one shop for taking independent films from start to finish for those who want to but do not know how to get started in the industry.
What will the Funds be used for?
The funds we gain from this fundraiser will be used to help us get a warehouse for the entire first year as well as help us pay utilities and internet. We have budgeted in an xtra $20,000 to help us begin marketing and design. We are hoping to begin online ticket sales right away to help keep the business going and start paying a staff.
Currently we are looking at
$48000 rent/year
$9600 utilities and internet/year
$22,400 for other costs for labor and marketing.

Donate $5 and get one single-day pass for anytime during the month of October.
Donate $10 and get two single-day passes for anytime during the month of October
Donate $20 and get one all-month pass for every day during the month of October
Donate $50 get a two all-month passes for everyday during the month of October and receive a Cunningham Haunt House hoodie
Donate $100 get 4 all-month passes for everyday during the month of October and a Cunningham Haunt House hoodie.
Donate $1000 and you'll get a life time membership to the Cunningham Haunt House for up to 5 family members.
Timeline
The sooner we can get funds the better so that we can start marketing for Halloween 2021 and get the building as quickly as possible so we can start construction on the haunt house. We need to do things such as work with the city and fire departments to make sure that everything is safe and legit.
Personal Note from Darrell Cunningham (me)
Halloween has a very special place in my heart. I remember trick-or-treating through our neighborhoods as children and watching as some of our neighbor go all out decorating their homes. Nowadays it seems that Halloween is almost become a thing of the past. I hate watching as the children in the neighborhoods loose the joy of this wonderful holiday. My dad and I started the Cunningham Haunt House in our neighborhood to give families a place to enjoy on Halloween night. We have had neighborhood teens get in on the scaring and people just enjoy the fact that someone is out there doing something for not only children but for the teens and adults too. For this reason, even if we start the paid for Haunt House we will still have the smaller Cunningham Haunt House for the neighborhood completely free of charge at my fathers house.
Also being a independent film maker in Farmington we have learned that it isn't easy to get into the film making business. So many people out there have wonderful ideas but no way to get them started. We want to try to help these people get started without them having to break the bank. People don't know how to write screenplays or shoot film. We want to provide a way so that even the most poor of people can get started bringing their dreams to screen.
