New Deck at the Cabin

Hello friends and family!
After nearly 25 years of extensive use and rough weather conditions, the back deck of the cabin is in dire need of replacement. We all love the cabin and the times we’ve spent there, and the deck has been the site of many fond memories for us. We’re willing to bet that all who are receiving this email have some happy back deck memories of their own and would be sad to see it go.
The good news is, we have plans in place to replace the deck this summer. So don’t fret! A new and improved deck will be coming to the cabin soon, yay! We’ve sketched the layout and have plans in place to purchase the materials. We’ve also set the dates for the teardown and rebuild. A big thanks to all who’ve helped so far, and to all who have generously offered their time and expertise for the project!
We are reaching out now to anyone we can think of who has enjoyed spending time with us on our beloved back deck. As you can imagine, it’s going to be quite an expense, at least $6,000 as a matter of fact. That’s a lot of money, especially for retirees like Bob & Jean. To help the family and say thank you to the (senior) Frachiseurs for all of the wonderful times we’ve all spent at the cabin, we hoped we could count on our friends and family, some of whom have grown up going to the cabin and now take their own children there. Since so many of you have offered to help financially over the years we’d thought we’d offer everyone on this list the opportunity to pitch in to help us cover the cost. Any amount would be put to good use and any extra will be put towards dock repairs. No obligation, of course. We’d just appreciate any assistance we can get. Plus it will be a sound investment in future new deck memories for all to enjoy!
