New community swimming pool!

Donation protected
Help us, to help others! Twin sisters currently running our swim school in hired pools. Our new aim is to create our own salt water pool, designed specifically for our community, BY our community!
We want to GIVE BACK to our home town (Slough), by offering the vital life skill of swimming as a fun and healthy experience to all ages and abilities.
This will allow us to expand on other classes such as, more women's only, mum and baby, fitness sessions, 1-2-1, family leisure time and SEN lessons.

Coming from a big family, we KNOW that money can be tight sometimes. This is why we are so determined to have our own pool; so we can organise sessions for FREE for children in need and families on low income.
Along with our vast experience in working with children in care and special needs schools, we would love for them to have the opportunity to enjoy this experience with us!

Being swimming teachers for 10 years now, we have managed to successfully in-cooperate the fun side of learning, which has resulted in not just your average swimming lessons! Excelling to help those who have had a fear of water, swimming in a matter of weeks!
After deciding to follow our dream of setting up a swim school four years ago, at the age of 19, working three other jobs each,  to pay for pool hire, whilst juggling a business was not the easiest of tasks.  Despite having no permanent home during the second year, we still managed to maintain putting all of our energy focused on AlohaSwim!

With one of us suffering with eczema, we know that chlorine is not the best chemical to use in a pool, as it can worsen conditions like this. And with eczema being so common among children, we aim to create a safe, healthy salt water pool. Which is, a lot easier on the eyes and great for skin (and can help conditions such as eczema, psoriasis & acne) Furthermore the minerals in salt can help the recovery from a joint or muscle injury.  Salt water also helps promote our body’s natural relaxation process leaving us feeling refreshed after each swim.

We would be incredibly grateful for any donation, to help us build an extraordinary pool in hope that we can help as many people as possible.  Not only can we help others physically, but largely with confidence and self belief. We will be asking all of our existing swimmers (adults and children) to help with ideas and features
for the design of this pool.

YOUR DONATION will go towards the materials, labour and site used for the pool.
