About our Campaign:

When we speak of trying to obtain a new church building, we are not merely talking about raising money. The primary goal is for us to be God’s people, to imitate God who loves us and gave Himself for us. Giving to help accomplish God’s work is one of the ways we show that we love God.

Giving is a life-long spiritual process and not a short-term exercise. When we plant a seed it doesn’t grow over night and produce an immediate harvest. The same is true with living the Christian faith — the fruit of our effort is usually not seen right away. It takes diligence and patience. It’s not easy.

The subject of money is the subject of faith: “For where our treasure is, there our heart will be also” (Matt. 6:21). We are called to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to be good stewards of everything that God entrusts to us, using everything to build His Kingdom.

All that we have is a gift from God.  He gives us life.  He gave us His only Begotten Son.  And as we grow as children of God by imitating Him, we also become persons who give.  It’s a part of who we are, by God's grace.

The type of giving that pleases God is voluntary and sacrificial giving. It shows that we trust Him and love Him more than our life in this world.  This requires us to re-orient our lives and how we perceive the purpose of money, freeing us from materialism and greed, so that we begin to live with God and for God, and to build His Kingdom.  It honors God when we give Him our best, the “first portion”. Abel’s sacrifice pleased God because he gave God his best.  But Cain’s sacrifice did not please God because he offered “leftovers”. It is like us giving God change, instead of a true donation. Such a gift is not a real sacrifice, it does not represent giving part of ourselves.  In the same way, our gifts to God should also be our best, and represent our heart and soul.

Your donation to help grow God's Church is “funding the Lord’s work”, “putting food in His House” (Malachi 3:10) as well as being a witness for God to this world.

May God bless your joyful and generous giving!
