My name is Michelle Avery Ferguson. I'm a clinical social worker and have a private practice, Open Minds Ann Arbor, LLC. I serve children, adults, and families in Washtenaw County.
I offer a class and support group called Neurodiversity Parenting to parents of young children who are Autistic and/or have ADHD, learning disabilities, and other neurological differences. I’m able to bill insurance for the therapy services I provide, but as a psychoeducational service, Neurodiversity Parenting can't be billed to insurance. The registration is an out-of-pocket expense of $300 per family (two parents/caregivers can participate for 1 registration fee) for a 6-week online experience.
I currently have multiple families who would like to be part of this experience who are not able to pay the registration fee. I'm looking for help in covering their fees and to have funds available for future sessions so that Neurodiversity Parenting can be accessible to parents and caregivers regardless of income.
