On September 20th, the powerful Hurricane Maria hit the island of Puerto Rico. This natural disaster has caused complete destruction to the entire island and its residents, one of them being our cousin Nestor Salas-Concepción. In addition to a lack of electricity, water, food, and gas, Nestor and his wife, Marisol, are faced with the horrible reality of having lost everything that they have worked for virtually their entire lives. Unfortunately, all of their furniture, personal belongings, and his car were damaged as a result of Río La Plata overflowing from its river bank and completely flooding their house in Toa Baja.
During his whole life, Nestor has always been the first to lend a helping hand to whoever has needed it. Now, he is the one in need. Let's help him get back on his help feet and, like the heart of a Pheonix, rise from the ashes.

El 20 de septiembre, el poderoso Huracán María azotó la isla de Puerto Rico. Este desastre natural causó una devastación casi total a la isla y sus residentes, siendo uno de los afectados nuestro primo Nestor Salas-Concepción. En adición a la falta de electricidad, agua potable, escasez de alimentos y gasolina, ahora él y su esposa, Marisol, se enfrentan a la triste realidad de haber perdido todo lo que los costó años de esfuerzo y trabajo conseguir. Desafortunadamente, todos sus muebles, pertenencias personales, y autos fueron dañados al salirse de su cauce el Río La Plata e inundar completamente su casa en el puebo de Toa Baja.
Durante toda su vida, Nestor ha dicho presente a todo el que lo ha necesitado. Ahora, él nos necesita. Ayudémosle a ponerse de pie nuevamente, y como el ave fenix resurguir de las cenizas.
