HELP

Many of you may know George Kostan. He has been a resident of Madison  for quite some time. I REFER TO HIM AS THE TOWNSHIP'S  "GENTLE GIANT." His wisdom and personality compare to no other in our community. 

On October 18, 2018 George buried his  wife, Jan after a very happy marriage. He has also buried his 1st wife, and a dear son, Stefan. These tragedies have generated  tremendous grief for Fr. George, and he prays and works daily at easing  the pain, but....those tragedies have been compounded by even more bad luck. …..After settling Probate for George's wife, he ended up with no automobile, furniture, nothing. To his dismay it went to HER family, Essentially George soon learned the importance of joint ownership in a remarriage, legally.(Including  names on the important things. ) Sadly a lesson learned too late and not reversible.  Utilizing prayer and faith he has made it for 7 months, without transportation. Friends help him get to mass, and medical appts. He lives on a meager SS pension, and sadly but with a grateful heart looks to social agencies for food assistance. 

George was told that he is in the early stages of CHF, and in years before he has had quadruple heart by-pass surgery. 

Pain and tragedy continue to plague George, a man of God, who has carried the message to many other Orthodox parishioners, prior to his retirement. Fr George has led his sheep in the parishes, and community . He has offered a helping hand to anyone who needed it WHEN he was able in earlier days. He still continues to act upon this with his prayers and faith. He was an active ordained minister for the Greek Orthodox Diocese and is from Canton, Ohio. 

At age 74, Fr George remains to live in solitude. Offers his love, faith and friendship to many people on Facebook. These "friends" are just that, but not tangible to offer rides to needed appts., etc. 

He is a very proud and humble man. He asks for nothing, and   prays for guidance to have his needs taken care of. George has suffered and continues to suffer with patience, and faith, that his life would improve. 

An automobile in good condition, in need of no repairs would certainly open his life and world to a more sustaining existence. 

After suffering so much, I feel it is time to answer FR George's prayers, and that is why I chose to begin this campaign . We as Christian people need to help George KNOW that we support his efforts,  and help him get a good used vehicle, insurance, and plates. This would free his chains of bondage which he currently suffers from.  NOTHING over the top, just a dependable vehicle so that he can get to the Dr. appointments , mass, and live his life again the best he is able to. 

Perhaps someone has a dependable vehicle and is willing to donate it to George ?
