Help us get safe and stay safe

We are a mother and four children escaping 10 years of domestic violence. Our goal here is to raise enough to buy necessary household items, pay deposits and pay bills for the first three months of our future relocation so we can focus on finding work and our emotional and physical needs. All it takes is 33 friends, willing to give $3.33 a day, for 3 months. Boom. Goal reached... we will be in a new home, safe, and ready to find work (and no, that's not including legal costs for us. ... so far our legal costs have been almost $4000 and if this case keeps up, they will be higher. It's also not including travel costs, which can be very pricey. But it's a start, so it's our goal!) 

Hey guys:  I started this GoFundMe at Christmas, but I was too afraid to go through with leaving at the time and never posted it.  Things got worse. Now I've left, and things have gotten infinitely more complicated in the process... so I've set a goal.

Can you help us get settled into our own place safely? This money will help us with shelter, clothing, food, medical care, travel, and legal costs. 

If there is any excess, I will turn around and pass to the next woman in this situation I can find. Won't take me long.... 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime.  1 in 3 female homicide victims are murdered by their current or former partner every year.

November Update: Legal costs turned out to be much higher that I imagined. The children and I are currently IN a home, but it's not a permanent situation and we will need to be able to move down the road. Distance is important in our situation. I still don't have a job, although now that therapy and our medical needs are starting to become more routine I'm more able to find permanent work and focus on my freelancing. I look forward to it and am SO ready to get on with my life and out of this stressful cycle!
