His impact on hip-hop, radio, and the culture is something that can never be overstated.

<div>For years, Nasty Nes made his mark on Seattle’s radio scene, starting with his groundbreaking work at KFOX and later at KCMU (now KEXP), where he introduced countless listeners to new artists and underground sounds. He wasn’t just a radio host; he was a tastemaker, an advocate for hip-hop, and a champion for the culture at a time when the genre was still fighting for its place in the mainstream. His radio show was a staple on the Seattle airwaves, and it played a crucial role in breaking some of the most iconic artists of the '80s and '90s.
