Nermal's FIP Treatment

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

My 1.5-year-old baby boy Nermal was unfortunately diagnosed with a dry form of FIP, a type of mutated coronavirus for cats. My world collapsed because this is a disease that has 100% mortality rate without any treatment.

Up until now, there is no FDA-approved treatment for FIP. However, continuous research led by Dr. Niels C Pedersen at UC Davis has shown a drug candidate nucleoside analog GS-441524. It has shown over 80% cure rate for FIP, with even higher chance at younger cats and FIP that has not been complicated. There have been many FIP survivors who are leading healthy lives after the treatment. The course of treatment requires 12-week of daily injection, with potentially increasing dosage as it goes.

Nermal received his first dose on 12/2/2021, and he immediately showed positive sign the next day. His swollen eye has eased and he is more willing to eat and drink on his own. There is hope for Nermal to survive!!!

However, the cost of treatment is over my financial capacity as a graduate student. I would sincerely appreciate if you can help me, even just a little, to save baby Nermal. He really deserves a happy and long life. He has been my best friend since I moved to graduate school by myself.

Thank you so so much for your help!
