<div>On 26 August, a glacial collapse sent floodwater and mud tearing through villages along Nepal's Trishuli River.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>More than 750 people are confirmed dead, thousands remain missing, and tens of thousands of families have lost their homes, roads and livelihoods overnight.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are Divine Breath Foundation (DBF), a not-for-profit NGO based in Australia dedicated to supporting communities through times of crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because Nepal isn't a country GoFundMe can send funds to directly, here's exactly how your donation reaches the people who need it: funds raised here are withdrawn to our Australian account, then sent directly to Kundalini Sound and Herbal Therapies, a renowned healing centre originating from Nepal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>People need help today, not in weeks. Every dollar you give goes straight to Kundalini and the team on the front lines.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why your help matters right now</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Large aid organizations are already responding — but they're still mobilizing. Roads are cut, access is limited, and even major relief agencies have described themselves as still assessing how to reach the hardest-hit communities. Aid didn't begin reaching some survivors until two full days after the flood hit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Kundalini Sound and Herbal Therapy doesn't have that delay. They are already on the ground, already trusted in the communities they are helping, and can move the moment funds arrive — no logistics chain, no waiting on approvals from a headquarters overseas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That's the gap we're filling. Not by replacing the larger relief effort, but by getting help to people faster, in the days when speed matters most for survival. Every dollar donated here goes straight to Kundalini and the team on the ground — funding food, shelter and clean water for a family that needs it today, not next week.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The scale of loss</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When the flood hit on 26 August, water levels in the Trishuli River rose by up to 9 metres in just 30 minutes — families had almost no warning. The Red Cross now estimates more than 90,000 people have been affected. Entire villages along the river have been wiped off the map, and roads, bridges, hydropower stations and water systems across Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts have been destroyed — cutting off the very communities that need help most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Children are among the hardest hit</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>UNICEF estimates more than 17,000 children in Nepal urgently need humanitarian assistance. At least 18 schools have been destroyed and another 20 damaged. Many children were separated from their families in the chaos and are now in makeshift relief centres while aid workers try to reunite them with loved ones.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Clean water is a life-or-death issue right now</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Flooding has contaminated local water systems across the affected districts. Survivors are going without safe drinking water, sanitation or basic hygiene supplies — conditions that put them at serious risk of disease on top of everything else they've lost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The danger isn't over</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Authorities are still monitoring a glacial lake formed by the disaster that could trigger a second flood, and ongoing rain has repeatedly forced rescue teams to suspend search operations. Families are being told to move to higher ground even as they search for missing loved ones.
