<div>On 26 August 2026, a devastating flash flood originating near the Tibet–Nepal border swept through towns and villages in Nepal, in particular Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading causing widespread destruction and leaving communities devastated.

<div>Lives have been lost, and many people remain missing. Families have been separated, homes and livelihoods destroyed, and countless people are facing unimaginable hardship.
</div>

<div>We have heard and witnessed heartbreaking stories from our families, relatives and friends who experienced this devastating day. The DNS UK community has also lost relatives and family members in this tragedy. At this stage, the full scale of the damage and the number of people affected is still unknown.

<div>DNS UK is appealing for your kindness and support during this critical emergency.
</div>
<div>People who have survived this disaster are now facing an urgent struggle for basic necessities, including food, clean water, clothing, shelter and other essential supplies.

<div>Funds raised through this appeal will be used to support the immediate humanitarian needs of people affected by the flash floods, helping provide essential assistance to those who are most vulnerable.
