Support for the Kmetz Family

On the evening of February 23, 2015 a terribly tragic event suddenly changed the lives of our dear friends, the Kmetz family - Chris, Jackie, Dexter (age 4) and Madelyne (age 2). While driving home Chris was involved in a serious car accident and unfortunately later passed away on February 28, 2015.
Chris had an amazing spirit and capacity for love and laughter, they were his superpowers. You couldn't spend time with Chris without laughing with him, and in some cases at him. Chris was a former U.S. Marine and the biggest Superman fan you will ever meet. And in true superhero fashion, on the day he passed away Chris went above and beyond to save two lives, and benefit countless others in the coming days, through the gift of himself through organ donation.
Chris and Jackie met in 2006 at an amateur racing event and married in 2009. One of their shared passions is car racing, and it was something they did together. Over the years the Kmetz's have given a lot to our local amateur racing community. They volunteered their time in many ways so that our region's race events could happen and they've helped strengthen the social bonds in our racing community by hosting social events. They are wonderful caring people, always ready to provide a helping hand, driving tips, a smile, a laugh, or a hug, to anyone on or off the track. Our community has lost a great friend and Jackie, Dexter and Madelyne need our support.
Chris and Jackie are blessed with loving extended family and friends who are helping Jackie with daily tasks. Even so, Jackie is currently between jobs and because of this event she is uncertain when she will be able to begin working again. The medical bills and other costs of daily living will pile up and the financial road ahead is uncertain…creating stress and distraction at a time when she needs to be able to focus on healing and taking care of their children.
You can help. We are humbly asking for donations to support the Kmetz family during this devastating time. They are a great presence in our community and they can really use any support you can give them. Please donate anything you can - any and all donations will be sincerely appreciated.
