Neosho Christian School needs a new roof!! The main building is comprised of two sections: one which has a peaked, shingled roof and the other which has a flat roof. The flat roof has been patched and repaired many times, but is now at the end of its life. We have been plagued with many leaks recently, including one severe leak which destroyed a copy machine on the 2nd floor. We have replaced the copy machine, and in order to protect it from future leaks, have positioned it underneath a tent inside the copy room! Yes, you read that correctly: we have a tent inside the copy room to protect the new copy machine from leaks.
There is also other damage around the building resulting from other leaks from the flat roof. We have had multiple experts look at the roof, and all agree: the roof needs replaced. A new flat roof that will be properly constructed with a slight slope in order to shed water correctly will cost approximately $60,000. NCS does not have the funds to pay for this roof, and our insurance policy will not cover the cost of replacement since there is no evidence of storm damage.
We are asking our friends, neighbors, and supporters to rally around us and help us raise the funds for a new roof for NCS so that we can continue to provide an excellent, Christ-centered education to all of our students. Please help us out today! We plan to have the contractors start on the roof as soon as school dismisses in May, and need to raise these funds immediately.
We covet your support and prayers.
