Mother's Worst Nightmare

Donation protected
October 5, 2018 the day that changed many of our lives forever.  It was early in the afternoon when it was discovered that Christian went looking for his dad who has  juvenile diabetes and mental disabilities.

Shortly after his dad returned, but Christian did not. That is when my Aunt Marlene (his mom)  began calling Christian's phone but he did not answer to tell him that his dad is home. She then went up to his bedroom door, banged repeatedly, unfortunately  no answer. That's when she heard his phone go off, she did not enter his room because he placed a lock on his door when he would leave so his privacy was respected.  So, she grabbed her daughter Heather and got in the car to look for him. Hours and hours went by, it was now 9pm, without hearing a word from him. My aunt went to the police station to file a missing person's report, she called several hospitals looking for Christian just as Christian would do when he was looking for his father.  A tank full of gas later my aunt returns home at 1 o'clock in the morning with no news or information regarding where Christian is.
It was now 4 o'clock in the morning, my aunt was still awake waiting for Christian to return home, but he did not. Christian was discovered in his room on his bedroom floor unresponsive at 4:30 in the morning by my Uncle Bob after he decided to break into his room to look for any details of his whereabouts. At this point in time Christians death remains under investigation, we will update as we receive information.

Christian Bernhard Shaffer was born on January 27, 1998. He was 3 months 3 weeks and 1 day away from his 21st birthday, where I anxiously awaited buying my cousin his FIRST drink EVER! All we would ever hear Christian say while growing up is how he wants to be a military family man. Christian enlisted into the Marines but unfortunately because of his eczema he was let down, but that did not stop Christian. Christian was a glass half full kind of guy, always so optimistic. On September 27th, he was accepted into Delaware County Community College for Administration of Justice where he would pursue his career as police officer and earn his bachelors degree in criminal justice to be a member of the SWAT team.
For all of those who knew Christian knows of the love he had for his family, friends, and cats. Max and Princess. Christian was always the one we could count on to make us smile when our days became grey, and now his mom, dad, sister, and immediate family will live in grief until they reunite in heaven. There is one thing we all are sure of, Christian is serving in Gods Army.
My family will never be the same after this unexpected tragedy and loss. I am making this go fund me because my Aunt should be able to give her son the burial he deserves without worrying about the costs.
This is a time for her to morn, not worry.
