Nelson's New Cello

As I have progressed as a classical musician, there have been a number of milestones in my journey:

- Starting lessons with my private teacher
- My first live audition for a youth orchestra
- Being selected as Principal Cellist in the 2017 Colorado All State Symphony Orchestra

The time has come for the next milestone in my journey: purchasing a professional-quality cello that will allow me to further develop my craft throughout college and beyond.

Unfortunately, as I am purchasing a professional-quality instrument, there is a pretty hefty price tag involved. Thanks to a generous gift from my parents in addition to my personal savings, I have a large portion of the expenses covered, but nearly $6,000 remains as debt. I plan to continue working through the school year and summer to pay that down, but I need your help, too.

As you can hear in the video above, this is a serious cello. I found some time ago that my previous cello could no longer match my level of playing, and as I have upgraded, I have found how much of a difference a good instrument can make.
