Since 1993, Nelson and the Wildlife Safari company have been dedicated to providing safe, fun, and educational natural science programs to people of all ages. Nelson has traveled to many schools, libraries, businesses and even to peoples homes to share his love of wildlife with others. Over the years he's literally brought his zoo to you!
After traveling for so many years, Nelson has decided to open a six thousand square foot interactive wildlife center here in metro Detroit that will be a great place for birthday parties, school groups and so much more!
Coming in late spring of 2020, this facility will be open to the public, but will also be available for private parties and events.
Nelson is currently seeking help in raising the money needed to open the new Wildlife Safari Center. Please consider making a donation today.
Let us explain exactly how your donations can help:
Now that a suitable building has been located, Nelson needs to raise a minimum of 25,000 dollars for the following things.
Lease Signing-The estimated total due upon lease signing will be around 16,000 dollars. This includes first and last months rent plus security deposit.
Building Renovations-A minimum of 5,000 dollars will be needed to do basic renovations before opening day.
Utilities/Hidden Expenses-The remaining 4,000 dollars will be used for hidden expenses like utility cost.
At Nelson’s Wildlife Safari our first priority is, and will always be, the care for our animals. In addition, your donation will also be going toward the direct care of our animals. Between feeding, building enriching enclosures, as well as vaccines and medicine, the costs can build up quickly. You can rest assured that your donation will be helping more than just the wildlife center, but will also be going toward maintaining and creating a better environment for our animals.
As an added ‘Thank You’ Nelson will be adding the name of any sponsors who donate more than $100 to a plaque that will be posted within the event center as well as being credited on our website as an initial sponsor. Nelson would like to open the Safari Center by the end of spring 2020, so be sure to check back frequently as we will be updating the page with photos and details about how it's going.
We thank you so much for your continued support, and we hope to see you at our new Safari Center soon!
