Therapy Cat in Need of Help.
This is Neko. He is a 5-year-old exotic mix breed cat who found his forever home by trying to hitch a ride in his future mama’s purse at the Texas Humane Heroes. She was instantly in love and brought him home with her.
What Neko didn’t know was that his new mama suffered from bipolar disorder and anxiety/panic disorder. She didn’t realize that the kitten she brought home would have an innate ability to sense her emotions and mental mood and offer her love and guidance when her demons came to prey upon her.
He became the official greeter in his new home. He loves all who enter and as with his mother, he provides his unique therapy for all he feels need it. Now he needs help because he is fighting a serious dental infection due to an injury received in a catfight between him and a foster that was brought into the home. Thanks to the infection he needs to have two teeth pulled, one of which will be a complicated extraction.
My name is Rita and I am Neko's owner. I am on disability and cannot afford the surgery or follow-up care that will be required. I do not have any credit so I cannot secure a loan for everything. I am a photo blogger and writer. Neko is not only my therapy cat but he is my baby. It kills me to see him try to eat and cry out in pain. It breaks my heart that I am unable to help him after he has helped me so much.
He is one of the most popular subjects in my photos. He is also who I based one of the main characters in my upcoming book “Tales of The Cat’s Eye Gang.”
