<div>Casey Williams has been battling <strong>Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis </strong>(PSC) and <strong>Autoimmune Hepatitis</strong> (AIH) for many years. <strong>PSC</strong> is a very rare and chronic liver disease with no known cure other than <strong>transplantation</strong>. Casey finally received approval from <strong>UVA Health</strong> to seek a <strong>living donor</strong>. This was the news Casey's family has been praying for! In a remarkable turn of events, Casey's husband Neil stepped forward to be tested and against all odds the surgical team at UVA confirmed that he is a <strong>perfect match</strong>! Their <strong>surgeries</strong> will occur on <strong>April 9</strong>.

<div>Both Casey and Neil have spent their careers giving to others. Casey has been a dedicated <strong>public school teacher</strong> for the past 20 years (7 in Virginia Beach, 13 in Hampton). She has continued to work full time while battling her illnesses. Neil has served as a first responder as a <strong>Virginia Beach Fire Captain</strong> (15 years) and former <strong>Virginia Beach Police</strong> <strong>Officer</strong> (4 years).
