Neil Oliver - Skydiving accident

On Sunday 12 November my best friend, beloved brother and son, Neil, was involved in a severe accident while he was training for one of his favourite passions skydiving, in South Africa. 

I am relieved and happy to tell you he is alive and his mind is as sharp as ever but he's suffered some severe injuries including 2 fractured vertebrate, one shattered vertbrate, 3 breaks in his left femur, cracks on each side of his pelvic bone and a broken hip. He is in need of immediate surgery specifically on his leg and a more complex procedure on his back. 

This requires 2 surgeries not including the hospital costs that unfortunately Neil's insurance is currently refusing to pay and the hospital will not act until they have the deposits are paid. He is potentially looking at just under a year's recovery time. The initial cost to get him the surgery he needs to have a real chance at recovery is $16,000. However, we know we're going to be looking at hospital/recovery fees too, which will potentially amount to much more. 

For those of you who know him , he is the most genuine and generous guy in the world. He will do anything for anyone, because that is the type of guy he is. 

So, from me, one of his besties (Yin) and his 3 sisters (Gwen, Jacqui and Ruth) and father (Martin), we have put our hearts out to you all to request, if there is anyway you can help us gather some funds to go towards helping with the medical fees required to make him better, we would (and Neil) appreciate it from the deepest depths of our hearts. Even if it's only a small amount, every single penny counts towards getting Neil back to health as quickly as possible. The longer we wait the more damage can be caused.
