Hi friends. This is Neil B. with a public appeal that I thought I never would have to make.
My family and I are coping with the severe side effects from thirty years of Type 2 Diabetes. Recently, my doctors had to amputate all five toes on my left foot, leaving me disabled.
I am currently in a rehab facility in West Hartford, and trying to get back home.
Making the home safe and accessible for me is costly for a limited income family. We've had to install a chairlift, a power lift recliner, and rent a hospital bed to fulfill my basic needs. We're also expecting future hospital, doctor, and rehab bills. I won't be receiving any more paychecks shortly, and my company does not carry disability insurance, so we won't have a dependable income stream.
