<div><strong>MEET ROSA: THE CAREGIVER IN NEED OF CARE</strong>

<div>At 70, Rosa has spent a lifetime caring for others. She worked hard throughout her career, raised her children, and supported her husband through illness until his passing. Now retired and living alone in senior housing on a fixed income, she finds herself in need of care, too. Since losing her husband, grief and worry about her finances, health, and wellness often weigh heavy. Her children live hours away with families of their own, and while they visit when they can, Rosa faces the day-to-day on her own. She fills her time with the things she loves: tending to her community’s garden, reading for her book club, and attending her local church. Still, behind her smile is a quiet struggle…the losses of loved ones, fading roles that once made her feel needed, and the fear of growing older without her spouse have become harder to ignore.

<div>Rosa grew up in a time when it was uncommon to talk about feelings, and even now, she hesitates to admit she might need help. She knows she is struggling to manage her grief, address her health needs, and remain independent. But cultural differences, transportation challenges, and the complexity of navigating care can make support feel out of reach.
