Neighborhood Marketplace in NWGoldberg Detroit

Hi my name is Brinda Devine, and I am fundraising to support the rehab of a long vacant commercial building into Kornr Store, a neighborhood marketplace located at 6224 16th Street, Detroit, MI 48208.

The corner stores many of us grew up with disappeared years ago creating food desserts and leaving many residents to shop at liquor stores and gas stations. Humans need healthy food options close to where they live and work. 

Kornr Store will fill this void in the NW Goldberg neighborhood by offering its residents and guests a coffee bar, fruits and vegetables and other healthy options along with prepared breakfast and lunch foods.

There is no lending or investment market for small neighborhood projects. So small scale developers like me have to seek other options to bring much needed projects to neighborhoods. 

Your donation will be used to help me pay for Kornr Store’s construction costs and in doing so will provide a much needed amenity to neighborhood residents and those that visit. 

Small  neighborhood projects like Kornr Store have the ability to make a BIG impact in people’s everyday lives.
