Needed Antibiotics and Medical

Hi, my name is Amanda and I am Jason’s sister. He is currently in the hospital and has been since last Wednesday. Jason broke his foot and now has two active infections. He has MRSA in his foot and a Staph infection in the bone in his foot. The hospital is treating him with two antibiotics that he will need by IV for a minimum of 5 weeks but maybe be up to 8 weeks. Jason has been told he can come home on Thursday. The hospital also told him he will owe his part up front each week in order to get the medications. After Medicare, his portion is $157 each week. He absolutely can not afford to pay this. He was told his other option if he couldn’t afford the medications was to go to a nursing home. Going to a nursing facility would expose him possibly to COVID-19. Jason is diabetic, has no spleen and has two active infections. He is petrified that he will go in and won’t get to see his family and die alone. I am asking if you are able to help in any way in raising the funds to make it able for him to come home and get the meds he desperately needs, please. Not only will these meds save his foot from being amputated but will also save his life. If you aren’t in the position to help financially please consider sharing.
