Back in March of 2022, we found out from him having a stomach problem that he had stage 4 colon cancer. Since then both he and my mom had to move to Tennessee to start treatment, And not having a lot of money they had acquired insurance from the state to help cover the costs of the chemo and radiation treatments. Everything up to this point has been successful, but the tumor still needs to be removed. Because of the timing, the surgery falls after the new year in which their deductible starts over and won't cover the surgery. They'll need $7,500 to cover it. Both my parents work very hard and dealing with this has set them back a lot; My dad hasn't been able to work in several months due the cancer, and my mom is only able to make so much at hers. Any amount that you can donate means more than you know. I just hope that he can get the surgery and start the road to recovery.
