My name is Alex, last week, while on a hike in Mission Trails, my girlfriend Maya was attacked by a snake. In the panic of this, she fell over and sprained her ankle badly. This incident caused a terrible physical response and anxiety attack which left her in a stressed and confused state. Because of this, she was forced to take an ambulance out of the trail and receive medical attention. While both at the hospital and the ambulance, she recieved two seperate doses of fentanyl which left her in a nauseous and debilitating state for more than 24 hours. She expressed that she did not feel in a conscious enough state during the situation to consent to certain things during the entirety of her hospital visit and feels taken advantage of. We later found out that her insurance will not only pay a small fraction of the medical bill, but does not cover the ambulance at all. This whole past week has been incredibly stressful and painful for us and currently only feels as if it’s worsening. We now ask for your help to be able to pay these medical bills. All we want is to put this traumatic experience behind us and be able to recover. Thank you.
