<div>Unfortunately, I’ve become disabled and can no longer work at all. Over the last several years, I’ve lost all the toes on my left foot and had a heart attack, quadruple bypass and knee replacement. Now I’ve been diagnosed with a condition called Charcot Foot, and I need my right leg amputated below the knee. The condition was caused by years of inflammation and infection resulting from Diabetes.

<div>After the surgery, with a decent prosthetic, I should be able to get back on my bicycle, do my own yard work, go for a hike now and then and live an active lifestyle.

<div>Asking for help is difficult for me. I’ve always taken care of myself. I’ve been managing on Social Security, but with current inflation, I have no money left at the end of each month. I don’t know how I’ll be able to pay for the minor modifications to my house (ramps), a mobility scooter, and other supplies that insurance may not cover that I’ll need after the surgery.

<div>I’m not homeless or hungry. But, I can’t afford these new expenses, and if I load up credit cards and go into debt, I’ll never be able to catch up. I believe that approximately $5,000 will get me back on my “feet.” Only your generosity will make that possible.
