Need Help for Dads Cancer Treatment

I am 19 years old and my name is Bridie Hewitt. I have two older brothers and three step sisters. I never imagined I would have to consider a life without my dad at this age.
Meet Pat, aged 52 who is my incredible dad. A man who fills the lives around him with so much happiness, support, laughter, kindness, and an overflowing amount of love. Pat was recently diagnosed with stage 4 advanced metastatic prostate cancer that has spread to his bones and lymph gland. This diagnosis is terminal and means that for the remaining of his life he will need ongoing treatment and support. As you can imagine, the news of dads cancer devastated our entire family and has turned our worlds completely upside down.
Pat is hoping to utilize technology of immunotherpay overseas. With Australia lagging behind with only recently starting to acknowledge this treatment in trails, it is unavailable to him here. With Australia only having 39% of the available drugs and treatments available to cancer patients due to strict and long drawn out FDA approval process. Whereas countries overseas like Japan and Germany, have over 70-80% of the drugs available and with a greater success with less side affects for the patients. Therefore with this choice of treatment overseas, we are hoping that this will allow our dad to live a much longer life with our top most priority being a quality of life for him.
The funds will be to help cover the costs of dad being out of work and the daily bills of life, further testing and treatments, time spent overseas when undergoing treatment and access to state of the art drugs that are yet to be available in Australia.
We find it difficult and upsetting to have to reach out and ask for help. However we are in the position that we are struggling to support him with the costs of treatments and ongoing bills. So my family and I are reaching out to all of you in hope that you can find it in your heart to help us, big or small, to help support dad and help us to continue to fight for his life. Although dad is currently undergoing hormone therapy, he urgently needs to start further treatments.
We need help, we need the money now and unfortunately we do not have it.
My dad is the absolute love of my life. I may be bias by saying this but he is one of the most incredible people in this world. He has the biggest heart and spreads his love and spreads laughter where ever he goes. A world without him would be a little dimmer.
