<div>What is the 4 Peaks Challenge?
</div>
<div>The challenge involves scaling the highest peaks in each of Ireland's four provinces: <strong>Carrauntoohil</strong> (1040m) in Co. Kerry, <strong>Mweelrea</strong> (841m) in Co. Mayo, <strong>Slieve Donard </strong>(840m) in Co. Down, and <strong>Lugnaquilla </strong>(925m) in Co. Wicklow. While typically spread over a few days, three friends aim to conquer it within 24 hours.

<div>Alannah and Adam Foley from Killorglin, Co.Kerry were diagnosed with and undergoing continuous treatment for <strong>Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1)</strong>.

<div>The hospitality trio, comprising Alannah and Adam's father, <strong>Andrew Foley</strong>, along with <strong>TJ O'Connor</strong>, a lecturer at Munster Technological University in Tralee, and <strong>Padraig McGillicuddy</strong>, Proprietor of Ballygarry Estate Hotel &amp; Spa in Tralee take on this challenge. They share a connection through their work and passion for the hospitality industry and believe in supporting one of their own in times of need. They stand united in solidarity for a meaningful cause.

<div>Funds raised will assist the family in accessing necessary services, alleviating the burden of accommodation and travel expenses for numerous hospital appointments. This support allows parents Geraldine and Andrew to avoid working excessively, providing stability in the face of the unpredictable challenges that arise when one of the children falls ill.

<div>Scheduled for <strong>Sunday, May 5, 2024</strong>, weather permitting, the challenge's completion date is subject to confirmation closer to the event. Factors such as mountain weather conditions and helicopter flying considerations between locations contribute to this decision.
