Please help raising funds for Little Kevin Morrissey.
Kevin is a beautiful little boy, he is sweet, loving, caring, and full of life. He loves going to preschool, playing with his friends, and most of all being an awesome big brother to Reese (his 2 year old sister). Kevin was your typical vivacious 3 year old boy until one day in mid January when he came down with what seemed to be "flu like symptoms " and a limp in his leg. After his second visit to the doctors, they felt it was still most likely the flu - that his fever was from an ear infection and the limp was from aches associated with the flu. A few days later he was feeling better but he was still limping . His mother Lauren and father Kevin knew something wasnt right, so for the 3rd time that week they went back to the doctors for an X-ray and some blood work.
It was 6pm on January 23rd when they received a phone call from Kevin's pediatrician- a call that no parent should ever receive. " We think Kevin has leukemia, pack your bags and get to Boston Children's Hospital ASAP! " Two hours later their fears were confirmed- Kevin has ( ALL ) ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA an aggressive blood cancer.
Kevin's treatments will last over 2 years and will include intensive chemotherapy, dozens of bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures for direct chemo to his spine and countless other procedures.
Kevin's devoted mother and father, Lauren (Fish) Morrissey and Kevin Morrissey, havn't left their son's side but they also have to support and provide for their growing family with 2 year old Reese at home and Lauren due to have another little boy in June.
With treatment lasting 2 years the funds raised will help with the overwhelming medical expenses but more importantly the funds will help keep Little Kevin and the rest of the family stay as comfortable as possible through this difficult journey. Keep praying for Kevin and lets help this little warrior beat cancer.
