<div>Somos Miguel y Rut una pareja que, desde la jubilación de Miguel en 2018, nos trasladamos a vivir en el campo, cerca de una pequeña ciudad donde Rut encontró un empleo. Desde entonces hemos adoptado varios animales rescatados, cuidándolos con nuestros propios medios: alimentación, veterinarios, vacunas… Son parte de nuestra familia.

<div>No solemos pedir ayuda, pero hoy nos vemos completamente desbordados.

<div>Hace unas semanas, nuestra perra Luna nos alertó de algo extraño: insistía en llevarnos a un árbol junto a la carretera. Allí encontramos a una gata joven, paralizada, sucia y en muy mal estado. Apenas podía mover la cabeza y nos miraba con desesperación.
</div>
<div>La llevamos de urgencia al veterinario. Tras múltiples pruebas (analíticas, radiografías, ecografías, revisión cardíaca), descartaron lesiones físicas graves. El diagnóstico fue una posible conmoción cerebral por atropello. La llamamos Wendy, y desde entonces la cuidamos en casa. Está luchando por recuperarse poco a poco. Hasta ahora, su tratamiento ha supuesto unos 600€, un gasto elevado para nosotros, pero no podíamos dejarla abandonada.

<div>Pocos días después, nuestro perrito Gru, de 11 años, empezó a arrastrar las patas traseras. Lo llevamos al veterinario, y la noticia fue devastadora: un tumor en la columna le estaba destruyendo una vértebra y comenzaba a dañar la médula espinal. Si no interveníamos de inmediato, quedaría paralizado o no sobreviviría.

<div>Gru es pequeño, alegre, tierno, y desde que lo adoptamos hace cuatro años se ha ganado nuestro corazón.

<div>No lo dudamos y afrontamos la operación con todos nuestros ahorros: más de 3.500€ entre pruebas, cirugía y postoperatorio. Pero ahora no tenemos más recursos, y aún necesita cuidados y rehabilitación.

<div>Por eso, pedimos ayuda.

<div>Cualquier aportación, por pequeña que sea, será un alivio inmenso para seguir cubriendo los tratamientos de Gru y Wendy.

<div>We are Miguel and Rut, a couple who moved to the countryside in 2018. Since then, we’ve adopted several animals, taking full responsibility for their care — food, vaccines, vet visits… They are part of our family.

<div>We don’t usually ask for help, but today we’re overwhelmed and have no other option.

<div>A few weeks ago, our dog Luna started barking insistently and led us to a young cat lying under a tree by the roadside. The cat was in terrible condition — dirty, underweight, and almost entirely paralyzed, except for some head movement and eye contact.
</div>
<div>We rushed her to the vet. After many tests (bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasounds, and a heart check), no physical injuries were found. The vet suspects she suffered a concussion from a traumatic blow or accident. We named her Wendy. She is now at home with us and slowly improving. Her treatment has already cost €600 — a big effort for us, but leaving her behind was never an option.

<div>Just a few days later, our dog Gru, 11 years old, suddenly started dragging his hind legs. At the vet, we received devastating news: he had a spinal tumor that was destroying a vertebra and starting to affect his spinal cord. Immediate surgery was the only option to save him from paralysis, severe pain, or worse.

<div>Gru is a small, joyful soul we adopted four years ago. He brings so much life and love into our home.
</div>

</div>
<div>We didn’t hesitate and spent over €3,500 — everything we had — on tests, surgery, and post-op care. Now we’re at the end of our resources, and Gru still needs continued treatment and rehabilitation.
</div>

<div>That’s why we’re asking for help.

<div>Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference to help cover the costs and give Gru and Wendy a second chance.
