NE 5th Gr. 2019 Nature's Classroom

Each Fall, 5th graders at Northeast Elementary School in Stamford, CT attend a 3-night, 4-day outdoor environmental education program called Nature's Classroom in Silver Bay, NY.  This will be the 20th year Northeast 5th graders have been making this trip!
Here at Nature's Classroom, students and teachers have the opportunity to experience education from another perspective, outside the walls of the classroom.
After spending 4 days at Nature's Classroom, living and learning together, students develop a sense of community, a confidence in themselves and an appreciation for others that carries over to the school community.
Nature's Classroom is the capstone of these kids' elementary school years, leaving them with memories that will last a lifetime.  However, the cost of this experience including transportation is about $400. per student, which can be a hardship for many families in our community.  We have committed to fundraising as much as possible; the students themselves will spend their 5th grade year participating in a business fair and other fundraising events.  We've created this gofundme site so that friends and family from near and far can support their efforts.   Please help make this trip possible for all of our amazing students!
