DONATE -Pedal for the Carr Fire

TRUE Ride is sponsoring a Ride for TRUE Change (Pedal for the CARR Fire) to be held Saturday August 18th at 8:30am and 9:30am all donations will go to the Shasta Regional Community Foundation   to benefit victims of the fires ravaging our community in the Redding, California region. The Carr Fire has grown to 186,416 acres as of Saturday morning, and is at 41 percent containment. The fire has destroyed 1,077 residences, 22 commercial structures, 500 outbuildings destroyed - 191 residences, 26 commercial structures and 65 outbuildings damaged.

How will the money be used?

The Community Foundation grants to nonprofit and government stakeholders to ensure that funds flow quickly to those most in need and establishes safeguards to secure proper distribution of the funds. This is a two-step process:

Short-term support: funds for immediate relief will be made available as they become identified to large scale relief agencies to provide such support.

Long-term support: funds for long-term relief will be distributed towards rebuilding and recovery efforts as identified by local collaborative efforts.
