Terras independence
Donation protected
Terra is a beautiful sweet child who is spirited and wants nothing more than to be independent. Terra was born with a rare congenital disorder called Apert syndrome. It is a syndrome where the bones in her head were fused (craniosynostosis) along with her fingers and toes being fused (syndactyly). Terra was also born with completely fused elbows (she is 1 in a billion) and cannot bend her arms to feed herself or to effortlessly accomplish the simple tasks (daily living skills) that you and I may take for granted. But even with these odds, Terra manages and thrives today.
Terra has had multiple surgeries to enhance her physical abilities, and she will still have to have various orthopedic and cosmetic procedures throughout life. Terra stands excellent odds of being able to not only survive but to thrive throughout her life and be a productive contributing member to society.
I am hoping to raise money to build her a handicap accessible bedroom and bathroom to enhance her ability to accomplish her daily routines and empower her with the confidence that every young lady should have about their appearance and body space. I plan to make this fundraiser ongoing, and all proceeds will go toward helping Terra achieve her independence with needed tools for her physical limitations.
