Help Dad Through This Tough Time

There are so many things I can say about my Dad it's hard think where to start. He has always been a hard worker and provider, doing his best to give his family what he didn't have growing up. He is stern at times, but a comforting hug when you need it. Most of all he is a great father. Unfortunately, last year he was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and immediately began the battle. After months of chemo and radiation he recently has started having complications. He spent most of last month in the hospital almost totally unable to breathe. Finally, after treatment and surgery, he may be on the right path. The problem still is that he is unable to go back to work yet and his employer doesn't have a short term disability program and has to let him go. Between copays and other medical expenses, his finances have been run dry. Our family is doing everything we can for him, but we can't afford to do enough. My goal is to raise enough to at least help him keep a roof over his head and food on the table for a couple months until he is recovered enough to get back to work. It hurts to ask for help, but he's about out of options. Please share and help in any way you can. Thank you so much in advance.
