LONDON RELAY - NCS’s York to London for York Mind

Do you want to join us in making a difference? We, (13 15-17 year olds) as part of our NCS programme, are raising money in aid of YORK MIND (INCORPORATING OUR CELEBRATION) LTD and every donation will help. We are completing a combined total of walking 283 km (176 miles) which is equivelant to the distance from York to London Bridge. More information about YORK MIND (INCORPORATING OUR CELEBRATION) LTD: Mental illness can devastate the lives of people who experience it and the lives of their friends, family and carers. As well as the often-frightening experience of the symptoms themselves, mental illness can destroy self-esteem, confidence & motivation and in many cases leading to a downward spiral of negative feelings and a complete withdrawal from normal life.

However, although most mental illnesses are not curable, they are treatable and in the vast majority of cases with the right support.
