On Monday August 14th, upon entering our park, we discovered that our home at the Colonie Town Park was broken into over the weekend after the first 2 weeks of blood, sweat, and tears to get the season underway. Some despicable people decided to steal from the very kids we provide for. The money stolen is used for daily operations, pep rally activities, scholarships for those in need, as well maintaining program cost.
The annual cost to operate our North Colonie PopWarner program is approximately $55,000 every penny counts.
Today, we are reaching out to our community to assist in recovering our losses, property damage and to upgrade our security in order to prevent any incidences like this from ever happening again. Our goal is to raise $2500.00 in light of this awful incident.
North Colonie PopWarner is a non-for-profit, 100% volunteer organization. Its sole purpose is to provide for those who see the value and joy that youth sports bring to players, parents and communities everyday. We hope that you will remember what it was like when you played and how youth sport organizations like ours contributed in your life.
