13 months ago I started this campaign so Kristine could get the surgery she needed to get on the liver transplant list. She recently went to the Mayo clinic in Arizona to have her case reviewed as she keeps getting sicker and sicker. In her words "she can feel herself dying." The Mayo clinic doctors were fantastic and have put Kristine at the top of the transplant list. She will be heading back to Arizona on June 4th to wait for the call that will save her life. Once she has the surgery she will need to stay in Arizona for 8 more weeks after surgery. That being said she could possibly be in Arizona for 12 weeks or more. That will leave Kevin at home holding down the fort and taking care of the day to day and their girls. Her mom Diane will be by her side while in Arizona. Any help that any of you can offer once again to take away some of the financial and emotional strain being put on my dearest friends family would be greatly appreciated. Please keep Kristine and her family in your prayers that this will finally put her back on the path to wellness and let her get her life back. God Bless and I thank you again for any help we can get to lessen the struggle for our girl. XOXO
One of my dearest friends Kristine has been struggling with autoimmune, Lupus and liver failure since 2009. Kristine just came home from the hospital last night after passing out at home several times on Thursday morning. Her ammonia levels were sky high since her liver is not ridding her body of the toxins which is what likely caused her to lose consciousness. She is quickly deteriorating and is finally able to go through the process of getting a liver transplant. Kristine even in her current state is worrying about the pressure of all the stress she is putting on her husband and family. She is one of the strongest woman I know and even with insurance this will be costly on her and her family with her inability to work or work full time for the unforseeable future. Once all testing is done and a liver is found Kristine will need to travel to Seattle to have the transplant.
Any contributions big or small would go along way to help Kristine and her family and would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone is in the Spokane, Wa area and could bring dinners or help with running errands I know that it would mean the world to Kristine, Kevin and the girls.
Please send prayers and love to heal my friend and let her enjoy many more years with her family and friends who love her so much!
