NCCYHA Fredonia Steelers Hockey Organization

Hi, my name is Isaac, and I am fundraising for my local hockey organization in Fredonia New York. I have played for the organization for the past 9 years starting at the age of 5. As part of my eagle project, I am fundraising for this organization. Here is an outline of my eagle project:

The project comes in 3 phases

Phase 1: Organizing/Inventory

We will take an inventory of the storage unit at Copy Boy as well as the storage unit located at SUNY Fredonia. Damaged items will be thrown out and old jerseys and equipment that are of no use will be assessed for a possible auction. The learn to skate equipment will be inventoried and any storage equipment that is damaged will be noted for replacement. Upon permission from the college storage shelves will be built for the containers holding the equipment.

Phase 2: Fundraising

I will write letters to USA Hockey, the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins asking for possible donations for money, memorabilia, or equipment. Setting up a GoFundMe page to collect donations for the following purposes:

1. To buy storage containers for equipment

2. Any new equipment that needs to be replaced based on Phase 1's inventory

3. To buy materials for the shelves to be built

4. Printing of flyers from Phase 3

5. Printing of outdoor signs from Phase 3

6. Money for running an ad from Phase 3

Phase 3: Advertising

The Steelers have a Learn to Play hockey program that needs more numbers. My plan is to advertise this program in the following ways:

1. I am going to create flyers for elementary schools to hand out in classes in Chautauqua county 2. I am going to purchase yard signs for neighborhoods in Chautauqua county

3. I am going to run an ad in the local newspaper and radio

4. Setting up tables at schools open houses in the fall
