Bridge the Gap Fundraising Campaign

Dear Friend,
Nine years ago, a small group of parents decided to start a new Jewish high school for girls here in Houston. They
wanted a place where their daughters could develop the skills they would need to further their Torah and general studies, and the ahavas hatorah they would need to navigate their futures and the future of their families. These parents were committed to creating an environment that would prepare students to develop both their own spiritual growth and to provide leadership to the communities in which they would
someday settle.
It has been our privilege to provide lay leadership and resources during these past years and to help the vision become a reality. We knew at the beginning, that the first decade of the school’s existence would graduate relatively small classes, but we also knew that the first group of graduates would treasure the roles they had played in being among the first to show the community the fruits of the school’s efforts.
The graduates of Torah Girls Academy have surpassed our expectations. Within the past few weeks our soon-to-be graduates have all been accepted into the very best seminaries in Eretz Yisrael. Our alumni have continued their Jewish learning after high school, have
pursued serious academic and professional pursuits and have become young women who live a life of Torah, Mitzvos, and Midos Tovos. We, who have invested in sustaining the school during these beginning years, are very gratified with the results.
When we began, we knew that it would be a full decade before the class sizes would provide significant tuition to sustain the school. TGA is finally within sight of the
demographic change that we anticipated would bring the school financial stability.
In September, 2016, a class of 12-15 students is anticipated to enter the 9th grade and subsequent years should continue the trend to provide increases in revenue that will allow the school to be on solid financial footing.
With eighteen months ahead to reach that milestone, we need to do some major fundraising for the first time since we opened the school. Accordingly, we turn to the
community to ask for your assistance. TGA has received commitments of $50,000 that will become available if we can raise that amount in matching funds. Together, this will allow us to build the final link in the bridge that we built to a future in which Houston’s Jewish community will provide excellence in education for those families who seek a strong Jewish education for their daughters in a school dedicated to girls’ Torah
chinuch.
We invite you to join this effort so that we may reach our goal and build the next solid link in the chain of our mesorah.
