Adoption Fund

In honor of November being national adoption month, (a month set aside to raise awareness about the urgent need for adoptive families for children and youth in foster care.) I have started fundraising in order to have the funds necessary for adoption and all related/ miscellaneous expenses.

Children are in foster care because they or their families are going through a crisis. Often these children have been removed from their parents because they are unsafe, abused or neglected or their parents are unable to care for them. A lot of children entering into foster care have experinced horrible maltreatment such as physical abuse; sexual abuse; emotional (or psychological) abuse; and neglect.

These children are in desperate need of a supportive family who can give them a permanent home. According to the most recent federal data, there are currently more than 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. Of the 400,000 children in foster care, more than 100,000 of them are waiting to be adopted.
