I love Japan.
I love all things Japanese.
Like, almost obsession love for Japan.
Last year, I applied for a program through my city, Longmont, CO. It is a student exchange and community involvement program. Longmont has two sister cities, one in Japan and one in Mexico. I was selected to go as a Youth Ambassador to Mexico. After much thought, I decided to give up my spot so someone else who loves Mexico could go. I am very interested in and passionate about Japan, though, and I know that it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so i opted to reapply next year for Japan.

Well, tonight I got a call from the Sister Cities Association, and I have been given a second chance, for Japan!!!! Sqqqqquuuuueeeeee!!!! I was so happy and excited and shocked! Then, reality hit. I only have ONE MONTH to raise the money for the trip. Everyone else has been fundraising for months! The trip isn't until July, but we have to buy the airline tickets and book everything together, as a group. I know that I am asking for a miracle here. I am hopeful beyond all hope. It would mean the world to me if I could realize this dream and represent my city in Japan!
Please share this with everyone you know. I believe in kindness and community, and I know that I can be a great ambassador and friend in Japan.
