Lourdes trip for the Colorados

Hi everyone, many of you know our family and have heard Alessandra's story. For those of you who have not, I will share a brief version. Alessandra was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy right around her 1st birthday. This is a disease that causes the heart to grow very large and not function properly. At the time of diagnosis, we nearly lost her and were told her only chance at survival would be a heart transplant. We are incredibly blessed and to date, she is still thriving on her own heart, three years later. Alessandra is an incredible little girl who has defied many odds, and continues to grow and thrive and enrich our lives daily. She was just chosen to go to Lourdes, France for a pilgrimage and participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity. Lourdes is a place that is know for miraculous healings and is an important destination in the Catholic faith.  The order of Malta selected Alessandra out of hundreds of applicants for this honor. Her travels are all included in this honor, ours are not. Camilo and I would love to be able to take Alessandra on this trip, if only one of us is able to go, then we will be ecstatic, if the two of us can accompany her, it will be life changing. We recieved our paperwork today, and have one week to raise $7,200. We are reaching out to our friends, our church and our community and hoping to raise enough money for the both of us to take her.
