Her Road To The LPGA

For as long as I can remember, it has always been my dream to make it onto the LPGA. From the moment I touched my first club to my first golf tournament, it was clear that I was stepping into a sport that would change my life forever. From the age of six to the age of fourteen I spent all of my time training and competing both locally and internationally. Playing for Team Canada I made a name for myself as one of the junior golfers to watch.

After ten years of competing, I made the hardest decision of my life and I hung my clubs up. Leaving the sport was extremely difficult for me but looking back I know it was the most valuable decision I have ever made. My hiatus allowed me to take the space I needed to grow and thrive in ways that did not involve golf, which was so important  for me in that time of my life.

In 2018, I decided to recommit to my dreams and I began training and competing on a local golf tour. Seven years away from the game may have seemed like a long time but within a couple months of training, I shot under par in my second event back in the game.

After over a year of working two jobs to pay for my golf, I decided to fully commit to getting myself onto the LPGA and I quit  both of my jobs and moved away to train for five months.

8 months later, here I stand having made immense progress in both my playing ability and my mental game. I am proud to say that I earned Symetra Tour status for 2020 after competing in my first LPGA Q-School this summer. I still have a long journey ahead of me but I know in my heart that it is not a question of if I will make it onto the LPGA but a question of when. My dedication to making my lifelong dream come true is impenetrable and I am in this for the long run.

In creating this GoFundMe, I hope to raise 60,000$ to go towards all of the very high costs that come with being a professional golfer. From tournament entry fees, equipment, training costs and travel expenses - every penny raised will be extremely helpful in navigating myself onto the tour within the next 3 to 5 years.

It takes a village to take a professional athlete to the top and  I know without support from people like you, realizing my dreams will be near impossible.

So, thank you in advance for your contribution. I look forward to making my country, my family and my donors proud when I earn my LPGA tour card.

All the best,
