Karen Lynn Mosley
Karen is a loving wife to her husband Shannon and dedicated mother to her 11 year old daughter Sarah and 9 yr old son Nicholas. Wether you are a family member, friend, colleague or stranger Karen is a person that always has such a positive impact on anyone she encounters. She has dedicated her life not just personally but also professionally to serving others impacting thousand of seniors through selfless giving. Now we have the chance to give back!
In 2014 while Karen's annual Mammogram was clear she had pain under her left arm which an MRI revealed as Triple Negative breast cancer. She underwent 26 weeks of Chemo and then left breast mastectomy hoping for a clear report. However nodes removed during surgery still showed signs of cancer. She was then scheduled for 33 visits of Radiation Therapy. After 11 visits she developed severe headaches and back pain. More tests revealed Karen's cancer was now in the nervous system. She then began spinal infusion of chemo 2x a week with positive results. However she began to loose the ability to stand, sit or walk. Looking for answers, tests revealed 2 small spots of cancer on the back of her brain. She is currently admitted to Wake Med-Cary where she is being treated for a rare kind of Metastatit cancer
