Natural Disaster @ New Pilgrim Baptist Church

Hello All,
Some very bad news! With the excessive high wind storm on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, the roof at our church New Pilgrim Baptist Church has literally blew off!!!! It's very disheartening because we have been working diligently as well as planning our next phase of work to be completed to the the interior and exterior of our building.
Because of the damages, we were not able to have a tarp placed because there is nothing to hold it down. Since around 12 noon when the roof blew off, it has been another hard downpour, which is not running the 2nd floor and going down to the 1st floor in which we fully occupy for church services as well as monthly feedings of the less fortunate. New Pilgrim also serves as the homebase for weekly a mentoring program, BOSS Mentoring www.bossmentoring.org , which services boys ages 8-18 years old within Camden County.
The past several months for New Pilgrim has been very tough with the passing of our Senior Pastor & Founder W.E. Whack. Through it all, we are trusting God.
With more anticipated rain in the forecast we must have a new roof installed ASAP and try to recover/secure the contents inside that have and are being damaged by the rain.
